BeAM sets sights on US market

BeAM’s new subsidiary, BeAM Machines Inc., is to be based in Hebron, Kentucky, on the premises of industrial engineering group Fives, with which it signed an industrial and commercial partnership in March 2015.

BeAM Machines Inc. is to be headed by Tim Bell, an acclaimed expert in additive manufacturing, with some 10 years’ experience in the sector. Founder of manufactured components finishing company Microtek Finishing, Tim Bell also worked for Morris Technologies, a company acquired by GE Aviation in 2012.

The US market is extremely mature and will appreciate BeAM’s highly advanced technology, which is unmatched by other additive manufacturing machines.”  Over the next few months, the US team will be beefed out to include additional technical and sales staff and the equipment needed to produce locally.
