BeAM is Start-up of the Year in France Est Region

BeAM was awarded the Start-up of the Year Prize on Wednesday September 28, in the category « Exceptional Entrepreneurs ».

This prize is awarded by EY and L’Express in the frame of the Entrepreneur of the Year Prize. It rewards a start-up manager with a « high potential and who has proved to be innovative on the market and who will be part of the business leaders of tomorrow ». This award recognizes BeAM’s strategy which was able in just four years, to be recognized as a major player on the market of metal additive manufacturing.

BeAM’s strategy is based on 4 pillars:

A technological progress continually renewed

BeAM keeps on developing its technology thanks to an open innovation policy set with its clients and various research centers which enable it to sustain its leadership.

An ecosystem with major partners

BeAM surrounded itself with major industrial and technological partners (Fives, Safran, Chromalloy, IREPA LASER, Ecole Centrale Nantes, GeonX, CEA, ESTIA, Polytechnique etc.).

-BeAM also benefits from the support of significant institutional partners like Region Alsace, Eurométropole, and is co-financed by public and private funds such as BPI and BNP.

An international dimension

BeAM founded BeAM Machines Inc, a subsidiary in Hebron, Kentucky USA, in May 2016 in order to reach the largest global market of additive manufacturing. BeAM attends the greatest international tradeshows on additive manufacturing and provides thus a business presence on every continents.

Sources of funding that give legs to stand on.

BeAM gathered funding twice: first round of 1 million Euros in December 2014 and second one of 3 million Euros in March 2016. Both were raised among well-known industrial figures like Emeric d’Arcimoles (current President of BeAM and former Senior Vice-President of Safran), Frédéric Sanchez (Chairman of the Board of Management of Fives Group), Hervé Guillou (Chairman and CEO of DCNS), Maurice Bérenger (Chairman and CEO of Cardio Renal), Philippe Varin (Chairman of the Board of Directors of Areva) and Jean-Pierre Dréau (Chairman of the Board of Directors of SNEF).

This prize rewards four years of intense work and further validates our strategy. We managed to earn the trust of the market, and major clients like Safran, Estia (Engineer School in Biarritz) and Polytechique have signed orders.
